“Of course he knew; he had music piped in at Neverland for the flowers because he knew it encouraged them to grow. Michael read all the time. He knew a lot about healing; he knew joy and delight had an effect on hormones and mood. I didn’t do just paintings for Michael; he asked me to do sketches for rides he invented at Neverland and the drawings for condos he planned to build for critically ill children and their families. He knew that critically ill children heal better in an environment of hope, positive thoughts, laughter and magic."

Respecto al vitiligo / About his vitiligo

"Luego por supuesto, yo noté, porque él no llevaba ningún maquillaje, noté su Vitiligo. Estaba en su mano derecha, en un lado de su cara y bajo su cuello, y también en el dorso de su mano. No recuerdo cual.

No sé hasta dónde subía por su brazo porque tenía una camisa de manga larga, pero me di cuenta de su Vitiligo y con el paso del tiempo, la propagación del Vitiligo, se expandió y se expandió y fue difícil para él cuando tenía que aparecer en público, obtener el tipo de maquillaje que necesitaba, porque... que la piel era blanca, no blanca como de raza caucásica . Michael nunca quiso ser blanco. Estaba orgulloso de quién era y de dónde venía, pero no tenía elección. La única cosa que nunca hizo, fue quejarse al respecto. Y él tenía todo el derecho a hacerlo".
