"Le pregunté, "Michael, ¿Cómo puedes hacer eso? ¿Cómo puedes destinar tiempo para visitar niños que se están muriendo y luego después de eso te subes al escenario y das esa clase de espectáculo?". Él me respondió: "¿Cómo podría no hacerlo? Si estos niños quieren verme, yo sé que no soy importante, pero Michael Jackson la superestrella sí lo es, y si yo puedo lograr que un niño viva un minuto extra, una hora, un día, un mes, entonces eso no valdría la pena?" Michael fue siempre de ese modo. Si él recibía una llamada de alguien y resultaba que un niño estaba mueriendo, él conseguía un avión e iba y les decía, estaré de regreso en dos semanas para verte, y muchas veces conseguía exetenderles la vida a esos niños, de esa manera. Él les daba algo para poder proyectarse a futuro. Tú tienes que admirar algo como eso."

“I asked him, “Michael, how can you do that? How can you spend the time with these children who are dying and then go from that, on stage and give that kind of performance?” He said, “How could I not? If these children want to see me, I know I’m not important, but Michael Jackson the superstar is, and if I can make a child live an extra minute or an hour or a day or a month, then wouldn’t that be worth it?” Michael was always that way. If he would get a call from somebody and a child was dying, he would get on a plane and go and he would tell them, I’m going to be back in 2 weeks to see you,’ and alot of the times he extended little kids’ lives that way. It gave them something to look forward to down the line. You have to admire something like that.”
